We finally decided on Zoey after months of arguing over what she should be called. I (Johnna) wanted to name her Persephone, after the Greek goddess. Brian later convinced me that Persephone would be a better middle name than first name. Knowing that Zoey could later choose to be called Persephone, I gave in and let Brian choose the name "Zoey."
This was right after I gave birth to Zoey, on January 17, 2010 at 7:17 pm after 30 hours of active labor.
This was right after Zoey was born. My mom was hooked.
My Mom and Dad with Zoey and the Pediatrician
:)
This was the nurse that got us through the delivery of Zoey. It took forever. I feel so bad, but I forgot her name.
This was our favorite nurse, Chandra, that got me through labor. She came to visit us in recovery after we had Zoey.
Zoey was 8 lbs., 7.5 oz. and 21.25 inches long!
She's been pretty and angelic from day one! She still loves to be swaddled like this. As you can see, she really looks like a Zoey Persephone.
Our precious baby.
This is me checking my very new Zoey out in our hospital room. We stayed in the hospital from Saturday until Wednesday because I got sick from having such a prolonged labor. I had Zoey on Sunday. This is why we have so many hospital pictures.
My mother was our first hospital visitor. Mom is in love with Zoey.
I love this picture of Zoey screaming!
LaRonda was really supportive those days we were waiting for Zoey to finally get here. She was one of our first visitors too.
With our friends Eric and Karin
With her cousin Logan and Raegan
With little mittens on. Zoey hates mittens. A lot.

This is Zoey's hospital picture. We like her hands in this.

This picture is so adorable.

Zoey had a hard time during labor too.

This was right before we were discharged.
Finally, on our way home!
